Hi, I'm Emma, and I believe that the best celebrations are the ones that feel like you—messy, joyful, perfectly imperfect, and absolutely real. For 22 years, I worked as a social worker. I've sat with families through their hardest moments and their happiest ones. I've learned that what matters most isn't perfection—it's connection. It's the small joys that make life worth celebrating. That's what I bring to every ceremony I create: empathy, warmth, and a genuine desire to help you mark life's meaningful moments in a way that feels authentic to who you are.

Why I Became a Celebrant

I've always loved weddings. Not just for the pretty details (though I do love getting dressed up), but because they represent such hope and optimism. Two people deciding to take a leap of faith together—especially when they've faced challenges—that's something special. I love seeing families blend, personalities shine through, and people put such faith in each other.

And funerals? They've always moved me in a different way. I love hearing the story of someone's life—not just the big achievements, but the everyday moments. The way they took their tea. Their favorite song. The silly things that made them laugh. Those small details are what keep someone alive in our memories.

When I discovered celebrancy, it felt like everything clicked into place. I could use my experience supporting people through life's biggest moments, my love of storytelling, and my belief that everyone deserves to be celebrated exactly as they are.

I can do traditional. I can do Harry Potter themed. I can do Victorian gothic or festival-style outdoor celebrations. What I can't do is cookie-cutter ceremonies that could be about anyone. Your ceremony will be about you—your love, your life, your small joys.
